Every Sunday the people of Immanuel meet to worship God.  There are two main services, at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. You are very welcome to join us.

Our services are led by the minister and include singing, prayers, readings from the Bible and teaching.  A typical service lasts just over an hour.

Every fortnight the morning service includes the Lord’s Supper. We encourage only those who are committed Christians to participate in this part of the service.

After the evening service there is an informal time for refreshments. It is a good time to make new friends.

We encourage parents to bring their children into the services with them. If a child needs to be taken out because he or she is crying, there is a room available where the service is relayed.

We have a number of regular events – Sunday School, mums and tots, midweek meeting, coffee morning and youth group.

Our Sunday School starts at 9:30 a.m. before the morning service. It is for children ages 4-8 years old and runs during school term time. We usually start with a Bible song and then hear a story.  We then do a craft that is related to the story.  We also try to learn a new Bible verse each week.

Mums & Tots is for pre-school children. Come and join us for a free play session on Wednesdays between 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. during term-time. Our side hall has lots of space for playing, themed tables, a craft activity, and lots of toys. We offer refreshments (for children and grown-ups) and later we sing Christian songs and tell a simple Bible story. Parents are responsible for their own children but the group is run by Marian and Sarah who is a trained nurse. Both have been DBS checked. Mums, dads and childminders are welcome.

    Midweek Meeting

The midweek meeting is on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. It is a time for the whole congregation to sing, consider the Bible, and pray together. This informal service lasts around an hour.

Once a month, usually on the first Thursday of the month, there is an opportunity to meet for a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy a chat. We meet at 10:30a.m.

The youth group meets on a Friday night at the church.  There are two groups.  The first meets from 7-9pm for children aged 8-13 years.  There is a time of games, snacks, drinks and a short talk from the Bible at the end of the evening.  Children aged 14+ meet from 8:15pm-10:30pm.  There is a Bible study and then time to relax, chat or play games.  A permissions form (signed by a parent/guardian) is needed on arrival on the first attendance.  There is no charge to attend the regular Friday night group.  All are very welcome to come along.

On some occasions a trip out is arranged for the groups including ice skating or laser quest. During the summer, a 5 day holiday is planned for the older youth group. We stay in a Christian holiday centre in Shropshire. A weekend away is planned more locally for the younger group in October.
